Time for your Screen Test!

0

Beery Media once again Worked closely with The American Sexual Health Association to produce this “Screen Test” PSA for National Women’s Health Week.

Cervical cancer is preventable with regular screening. At age 21, women can be screened with a Pap test. Starting at age 30, women can also get an HPV test as part of screening. The HPV test can find the types of HPV (human papillomavirus) most commonly found in cervical cancer. HPV is very common in younger women, but in most cases it clears from the body on its own. In women 30 and older, though, a “high risk” HPV infection is less likely to go away on its own. That’s why regular screening is important.

We hope you enjoy this short, entertaining, and important message, starring Aya Wallace and other crew members, seen “behind the Scenes”.

Beery Media recently had the pleasure of traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia to film a profile of The Lenfest Center for the Arts. It has been bringing world class performing arts to Lexington, VA for 25 years, and they tapped Beery Media to produce a short film that captures the magic that is Lenfest.

The Lenfest Center for the Arts, home of the Department of Theater, Dance, and Film Studies and the Department of Music and Art is a multi-use facility designed and equipped to accommodate a broad spectrum of the performing arts, including theater, musical theater, opera and operetta, choral and band music, dance and performance art in one energizing complex.

Since opening in 1991, the Lenfest Center has helped the University provide the fine arts component of an exceptional liberal arts education. Housing over 175 performances each year and hosting over 30,000 patrons, the center has become the region’s performing arts center. Countless rehearsals and an ongoing schedule of classes make the Lenfest Center a lively and dynamic educational facility.

The history of the university’s long relationship to the arts dates back to its most illustrious early donor and first namesake, George Washington. In making an important gift to the struggling school in 1796, the First President noted, “To promote literature in this rising empire, and to encourage the arts, have ever been amongst the warmest wishes of my heart. And if the donation is likely to prove a means to accomplish these ends, it will contribute to the gratification of my desires.”

One of the best parts of being a production company is having the chance to meet and work with folks from all walks of life. This year we had the chance to fly to Arizona and meet Mark Woodson and his wife. Mark is an engineer that has made positive engineering changes in his hometown of Flagstaff. Working closely with ASCE once again, we created a short profile of Mark, The American Society of Civil Engineers 2016 President. Produced by Beery Media, and screened in New York City’s Times Square Marriott at their 2015 Conference. You can see the results below. Congratulations Mark!
